Finally Can Start Talking About This

A month and a half ago, I was visiting hubs in his office. Phone rings, he answers it via speakerphone. I'm on my laptop not paying attention, until all of a sudden the guy on the other end is really, really wanting hubs to join his team at Company X for project Y.

Like now.

I looked up at hubs, he was looking at me, both of us very surprised with jaws open.

So, he started thinking about it, and how much he would love to work on Y project, and how he likes X company anyway, and hey why not?

So since then he has pretty much had the job (his reputation precedes him in his niche).

But there's still The Process.

But, he now has a formal # and starting date.

It's a huge opportunity for him that he is really excited about, and I am excited for him, because don't we all want to be highly valued, seeked out, and work on the Next Big Thing in our industry?

Exactly.

We celebrated last night by taking a family friend out to dinner, and today hubs went to have some guy time with his guy friends.

How will this change things?

Well, it will accelerate our financial goals, but we don't see many changes in our lifestyle.

We were talking about that this morning, and I said "you know? there's not much that I want; I am pretty content with my life and lifestyle".

Which is a good place for me (anyone?) to be: Content with what you have put into motion, and just deciding to salt away, more or less, any windfalls or financial goodies that come your way.
